I have been trying to use your “export emails” applescript since I need to export some documents for court and would really love to be able to sort the exports by date but when the export says its done I don’t see any files int he folder that I selected. Does it work for 10.8.4? Would really appreciate it if you could point me to what I need to get this working!
Your “ExportEmails” AppleScript is exactly what I’m looking for!
Any chance you’d consider updating it for Mac OS X 10.9’s Mail.app 7.1?
Hi. I was looking to export messages out of Mac Mail and found your script which looks exactly like what I need! Unfortunately, when I run it, it looks like everything is fine but no output files are generated. Did Apple change something in OSX or Mail (I’m running the latest of both) to break your script?
Thanks for any info on this.
I just posted an update, so check out http://www.rajsingh.org/tools/exportemails.html again.
Sorry for the delay, but an update is now posted at http://www.rajsingh.org/tools/exportemails.html
I#m also using your AppleScript “export mails”. Great Job! Thanks for your effort.
Thanks for your support!
very useful script.
I just tried to edit it: to get the sender´s name or mail address into the filename, but I´m just not finding the right name or variable.
by the way, slicing the filename with dashes “YYYY-MM-DD__HH-MM – email subject” just works.
Could you help / suggest anything to help (if you got time for it)?
Your ExportEmails applescript is exactly what I needed, thanks so much!
Your ExportEmails Applescript saved me a lot of time today.
Thank you very much for sharing.
I was going through your old posts. I’m interested in a snapshot of the POI database. Can you please point me to a download link for the same.
Hi Asad. The POI database I created is a few years old. Here’s a good way to get the latest POI data from OpenStreetMap: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Trimble_Data
Thanks for ExportEmails, Raj! I can confirm it worked on 10.10 Yosemite.
