I’m really starting to become proud of OGC Network. We launched this site a couple years ago to fill a void in OGC outreach and educational material. The web site provides easy access to the official, “fully-cooked” OGC material, but a lot goes on within the geospatial community that’s closely related to the Consortium, but shouldn’t really be put on the official web site (even if staff had the time to put it there). Enter OGC Network. A Drupal-based site that lets anyone in the OGC community to post content and maintain a section in their particular area of interest.
Of course, a web site’s utility is directly related to the quantity and quality of its content. OGC members and staff have done a great job this year in building out the site. Here are some highlights (in no particular order):
